So the news that Land Rover has decided to dip its collective foot in the water of fixed cost servicing is no surprise, and the offer’s a fairly decent one – a Service Pack for the Range Rover Evoque costs just £499. For your ‘Monkey’ upfront you get all the regular servicing needs of your new Evoque done and dusted for 5 years (or 50,000 miles on the petrol Evoque and 60,000 miles on the diesel).
The latest Toyota GT 86 by Gazoo Racing – the GRMN Sports FR Platinum Concept - has been revealed at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon. The most interesting is a GT86 that comes from Gazoo Racing – a part of Toyota – which was teased last week and gets the same sort of power upgrades as the Gazoo GT86 we saw turn up at Le Mans and Goodwood last year – the GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum. The GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum gets a new front bumper and headlights with air vents on the bonnet, new back bumper and tail lights and a thumping great wing on the back.
Jaguar are to fit the 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine to the XF for the Chinese market as a more affordable entry point for the XF range. Even though Jaguar Land Rover are yet to get official Chinese Government approval for their Joint Venture with Chery, China is already a big market for them and, just like other luxury car makers, they are willing to produce cars just for the China market. According to reports from China, the Jaguar XF is about to get the 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine from the Range Rover Evoque to create a new entry-level Jaguar XF at a more appealing price point.
